London’s canals were built largely in the first half of the 19th century to accommodate demand for moving goods by water. Commercial canal use decreased from the mid-19th century and today, 100km of canals stretch across north London, becoming the new village greens, as these once-industrial sites are transformed into centres for residential living.
In the past year, London Block Management has taken over the management of various buildings within The Regent’s Canal Conservation, Fish Island, London’s docklands and Thames Path areas. With over 10 years’ experience, we can provide real insight and industry expertise regarding waterside buildings, be it dealing with the new regulations within the conservation areas or adding value to the property.
