London Block Management is delighted to announce it has been instructed to manage the Grade II listed building Fairbairn Hall in East London.
This fascinating listed building has a rich heritage and represents an exciting addition to the company’s growing portfolio of architecturally significant properties.
Fairbairn Hall was originally built in 1900 as a boys’ club and was historically owned by Oxford University.
The building was renovated in the 1930s by celebrated architect, George Grey Wornum, who designed the original Queen Elizabeth liner.
The property was converted into residential flats in the 1980s which allowed its historic character to be retained whilst being adapted to modern residential use.
London Block Management are looking forward to working closely with the board and leaseholders to enhance and protect the heritage aspects of Fairbairn Hall while ensuring the building is well positioned for the next 100 years of its history.
James Lee, director at London Block Management, said: “We are thrilled to have been appointed to manage Fairbairn Hall. It is a remarkable building with a unique story and we look forward to supporting the residents while preserving its historic significance.”
Morven McCaig-Cook, director at London Block Management, added: “Managing listed buildings requires a careful balance between conservation and practical management.
“We are excited to bring our experience to Fairbairn Hall and to work collaboratively with the board and leaseholders to ensure the building continues to thrive.”
