Training is undertaken regularly. Staff have the option of participating in webinars on subjects of interest to them. External courses, conferences and seminars can be attended. On a quarterly basis, one of our advisers is asked to come in to the office and present on their subject – recent seminars have included insurance, insurance valuations, surveying, a local solicitor dealing with pitfalls of answering solicitors’ enquiries etc.


Staff are actively encouraged to take the IRPM exams, and this is funded by the company. If staff have particular areas that they would like to explore and specialise in, this is actively encouraged. 


Regular staff appraisals are undertaken. These are quarterly for the first year to check how you are settling into LBM. Thereafter they are on an annual basis, with annual salary reviews. If issues arise between appraisals, staff are actively encouraged to discuss these with their managers. The firm is a meritocracy with the most capable individuals quickly being identified and rewarded with progression through the firm.
