LBM Attend the Annual ARMA Conference

LBM attended the ARMA annual conference on 18th October – the UK’s largest residential leasehold conference.
The theme of the conference was ‘Managing the Future’ – reflecting ARMA’s views that there is no place in the market for unqualified, unskilled and unregulated property managers, particularly in light of the tragedy at Grenfell Tower.

A variety of excellent speakers included the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, The Rt. Hon. Sajid Javind MP. Philip Rainey QC and Professor James Driscoll covered the Commonhold legislation and the prospects for promoting the legislation. The relationship between developers and their managing agents and reinstatement cost assessments were the subject of further sessions.

The conference gave us a strong feel for the pulse of the industry, an in-depth look at the latest issues affecting property management, detailed analysis of the current technical and legal issues affecting the sector and an opportunity to meet suppliers, both existing and potential new ones, as well as networking with delegates from other firms.

LBM also attended the annual dinner after the conference with a number of our colleagues from the industry and an enjoyable evening was had at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel.
