Health & Safety Assistant Vacancy


Overview:
The Health & Safety Assistant will work closely with the Health and Safety Manager and Associate Director (Head of Compliance) to ensure that all aspects of Health and Safety compliance are maintained at the blocks managed by London Block Management as well as for the Company’s office premises.

Job Description:

    • Work closely with the Health & Safety Manager, undertaking basic administrative tasks, email follow up and safety logistics.
    • Conduct site visits/inspections and draft subsequent reports.
    • Correspond with Health & Safety contractors and general contractors, compile and provide required safety documentation.
    • Aid the Health & Safety manager in the completion of office DSE assessments.
    • Address daily Health & Safety action items as delegated by Health & Safety Manager.
    • Maintain Health & Safety dashboard.
    • Review newly completed Health & Safety reports, provide feedback to Health & Safety Manager and Portfolio Managers.
    • Update and maintain various Health & Safety registers.
    • Review risk assessment and method statements/contractor applications and participate in safety audits.

Role Requirements:

You will need to:

    • Have a genuine interest in health and safety, further pursuing Health & Safety qualifications (NEBOSH General Certificate, First Aid etc.)
    • Be detail orientated
    • Be organised and structured
    • Possess intermediate computer skills and competencies. Able to utilise Microsoft Office programs (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
    • Be a keen learner and task driven
    • Possess good communication and problem solving skills

Experience:
1 year’s administration/office experience preferable.

Training:
Training will be provided on the job internally.
